Lowanna Grant

Lowanna Grant is a proud Wiradjuri and Western Arrernte woman and the Executive Producer and host of NITV Radio at SBS, where she leads the editorial direction and produces content that amplifies the voices and perspectives of First Nations peoples.

With a decade of experience at NITV/SBS, Lowanna has worked across multiple roles, including as the Indigenous Lead in the Programming team, where she curated NITV’s content on SBS On Demand and supported key projects. She also presented The World Game on NITV and oversaw the short-form documentary initiative series Our Stories.

Most recently, Lowanna produced and presented the NITV Radio podcast ‘Ngiyang’, which explores the reclamation of the Wiradjuri language in central NSW. The podcast features her pop, Wiradjuri language pioneer Uncle Stan Grant Senior, alongside language teachers and learners, highlighting the profound impact of speaking and reclaiming their language.

Lowanna is deeply proud of her pop and family’s contributions to the revitalisation of Wiradjuri language and culture and remains committed to carrying this legacy forward for future generations.
